Deke Slayton Memorial Space & Bicycle Museum
The Deke Slayton Memorial Space & Bicycle Museum honors Sparta native and Mercury Seven astronaut Deke Slayton while celebrating the area’s bicycling history. Its exhibits trace transportation from bicycles to airplanes and space travel, featuring historic bikes, aircraft, NASA artifacts, and Wisconsin’s only publicly viewable moon rock.
La Crosse River State Bike Trail Inc.
La Crosse River State Trail, Inc. supports and promotes the scenic trail connecting Sparta, Rockland, Bangor, West Salem, and La Crosse. The 22-mile trail follows a former railroad route and provides opportunities for biking, walking, running, snowmobiling, and exploring the communities along the way.

Sparta Montessori Schools, Inc. supports Sparta Montessori, a tuition-free public charter school serving students from prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school uses hands-on, child-centered learning to help students build independence, responsibility, confidence, and a lifelong interest in learning.
