A state trail pass is required for all people over the age of 16 biking on certain trails. A trail pass is not required if walking, running, or hiking. Trail passes are sold at the front desk in the Chamber of Commerce building at 111 Milwaukee St. in Sparta. Daily passes are $5 each, and annual passes are $25. Ben Bikin stands 32 feet high atop an 1890s-era Penny Farthing bicycle. A local company, F.A.S.T. (Fiberglass, Animals, Shapes, and Trademarks) Corp., created the statue, where he’s been stationary in his present location since 1995. He is considered the World’s Largest Bicyclist. Ben is located at Ben Bikin’ Park, on the corner of Water Street and Wisconsin Street.
